A little about the artist...
Celine Sharpee has been tattooing since 2016, with a focus in bold line work and surrealistic designs. Her style consists of abstract subjects paired with bold, black lines often seen in the more recent "blackwork" style of tattooing.
Celine prefers the hand poking technique especially because of the raw look and feel of the finished tattoo. Her artistic influences include the many works of Salvador Dali, but she is also greatly inspired by the art style of many popular adult animations, such as Bob's Burgers, Rick and Morty, and Family Guy. Celine's favorite subjects to tattoo are characters from cartoons/video games, anything related to horror, animals, insects, fairies, and most importantly, anything that's meaningful to her clients. She strives to create a safe space for any and all of her clients, and to make a lasting connection between each of her clients and their new tattoos, as she believes a positive experience is an integral part of the tattooing process.
I am experienced in working with ALL skin types, and I am capable and willing, to tattoo over scars, stretch marks, beauty marks, and/or work with darker skin.
Celine also believes in the sheer empowerment that free self expression can give someone. This is why her main goal is to help her clients find their true selves through the magic of tattooing and create beautiful, quality work every single time.

FAQ'S
How do I book an appointment?
Appointments with JokePokes can be scheduled by using the ‘BOOK NOW’ button above, or, by clicking the booking tab in the menu at the top left corner of this page. Please be sure to check the status of my books PRIOR to completing the booking process.
You will be asked to submit a booking form with information pertaining to the tattoo that you want, for example, what subject matter, placement on your body, and size of the tattoo. Upon receiving the booking form, I will review it and contact you with a price quote, as well as the date and time of your appointment.
Why can't I book?
My books open and close depending on variety of factors, but a majority of the time, it's simply because I am fully scheduled and/or not available. Notice of my books opening/closing will always be given on this website and on my official tattoo Instagram page, @jokepokes.
How much does a tattoo cost/how long will it take?
Pricing and time quotes are only given after completing a booking form through this website, as it almost virtually impossible to price a tattoo that has not yet been conceptualized. I do not offer hourly/daily rates FOR SMALL PROJECTS. Feel free to contact me for specific price quotes on bigger projects that likely need multiple sessions to complete, for example, arm sleeves.
General size pricing quotes are available in the ‘Booking’ tab in the menu at the top of this page, but they are not strict guidelines, as your tattoo may cost more or less depending on placement, level of detail, shading, color, etc.
DEPOSITS ARE REQUIRED WHEN SCHEDULING A TIME FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT.
After a response to your booking form has
been received, I will send an email stating available times and give you the link to pay your deposit.
While I understand unforeseen circumstances, I can only guarantee a 24 Hour Cancellation Policy. If you cancel within 24 hours for any reason, your deposit MAY be forfeited, due to the set-up time and supplies costs.
What supplies are used/are they sterile?
I excel at providing a positive, SAFE environment for all my clients. Latex-free gloves are worn properly at all times during the tattoo process and each needle used is autoclave sterilized, individually packaged, and always opened in front of you. All inks used are 100% vegan and sterile, as well as any soaps and stencil solutions.
What makes hand-poking different from traditional tattooing with a machine?
Hand-poking is the process of manually driving the needle in and out of the skin without the help of the power supply that machines use. Because this process relies so heavily on the artist's sense of touch, the artist will be able to directly feel needle depth and the pushback of the skin being worked on. Due to this, many clients report that the hand-poking process "hurts less" than machine worked tattoos, however, I think it's solely because hand-poking simply cannot be done at the same pace as a machine tattooing and therefore is a lot slower and less traumatic to the skin. That's not to say it doesn't hurt, it's just one of the many things that make hand-poking unique, and I definitely think we will see even more of a rise in this style of tattooing in the industry.
That being said, hand-poking takes significantly longer than a machine-worked tattoo. This is because in order to achieve full, bold lines, the artist is required to perform multiple "passes" on the line. Be prepared to sit for a longer amount of time when getting a hand-poked tattoo. Although you may be sitting for longer than what is considered normal, the finished product makes it all worth it, as you end up with a one of a kind tattoo that could never be duplicated again, even by the same hand!
Do you work with color?
As of right now, I work in exclusively black and grey ink, as that is my specialty.
How do I prepare for my appointment?
Make sure you are getting plenty of water, food and rest at LEAST a week before your tattoo. Do not take any blood-thinning medications, drink alcohol or caffeine 24 hours before your appointment. For the safety of you and I, please do not arrive to your appointment under the influence of alcohol or illicit drugs. Make sure to eat a decent meal before your appointment, as this will help me create a smooth tattoo experience for both me and you.
If you are currently taking any prescribed medication you feel I should know about or you are prone to fainting, please let me know prior to your appointment by specifying in the appropriate section on the Booking Form.
What about tattoo aftercare?
